No I'm not, I'm just pointing out (spitballing as it were) the car already has 95% of the hardware required, as do several other brands. Seems silly to rely on aftermarket devices in that case but obviously that's the most cost effective.
Absolutely cheaper yes. The Mazda dealer installed a recording device in about 10 minutes as part of their diagnostic procedure as to why my auto cruise was shutting off so I'm not sure about the easier part. I didn't look at the time but it probably was some sort of micro SD device...

Changed the wheels for winter yesterday with my garage floor jack. It doesn't have the same shape as the OEM hand jack so I couldn't use the jack points from the manual. But the undercarriage has plastic cover so I can't see where the hard points are, so I ended up using the inner suspension...
So on the last trip I had my route programmed and decided to stop for a burger part way thru, I used the nav and added the waypoint. It updated the route on the HUD but never gave me any audio guidance for the exit. If I remember I think I ended up cancelling the route and setting the route...
10 months in (so half a winter) and all pavement driving I'm really disappointed with the number of paint chips on the hood, fenders and doors. When I was applying the touch up pen I stopped counting at 20 on the hood alone. Over the years it's going to look like it's got measles.
Mine will shuffle if it's playing everything but it won't shuffle if I've picked a playlist, just does alphabetical. The icons are confusing, is the red shuffle symbol supposed to be on or off?
