What size tires would you recommend? But the rims should fit fine?

5 I just got a 2008 Mazda5. I have a brand new set of rims that are 17x7 with +40 offset. The tires are 215/40/17's. Do you think they will be ok? I bought them for my Protege5 and before I could mount them, the car was written off :( Thanks!

I have the exact same rattle and it's the heat sheild as well.
