I confirmed I don't have that retarded ass devise on my muffler.
I had a sit on the engine while I took a drive and confirmed the sound is not
from there.
We did confirm the sound is coming from a leak in the exhaust.
ONLY when accelerating really fast starting at around 2800 to 4000 RPMS does my 00 Protege 1.8 whistle like a turbo spooling up. Starts soft and low then whistles louder as the gear/rpm gets higher then starts over soft to loud in the next gear. Remember it only happens when driving it hard...
My dome light won't illuminate when opening the doors. It will only work manually. This is not a huge deal really but I am just amazed that we can't figure this out.
Yes I have tested pretty much everything
-tested door triggers all good
-tested fuses all good
-tested/confirmed wires have good...
The more thought I gave the less I case about the texture haha I'm just anxious to do it now.
Yes, I think you're right it will probably soften in the areas it is touched/rubbed often.
Oh actually good idea I think I will.
I'll post pics & notes of the process and as a bonus toss in the headliner experince & pics.
My only concern is that like the headliner the fabric/vinyl paint will make the door fabric feel stiff and rough.
Ok I think I want to vinyl/fabric paint the material insert on all four interior door panels. Black to match my nice newly fabric/vinyl painted headliner.
Any other suggestions?
Got pics of other customized protege door panels?
Anything on the topic of Protege door panels?
By the way when I picked up the paint at Advanced Auto Parts even the cashier raved about how well it worked on his carpet. I assume if you use it on your carpet then it will smooth out the hard texture after your feet and mats hit it a few times.
So I removed the headliner, which was easy. I used duplicolor vinylfabric paint as recommended here and WOW! IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!
I gotta snap and post some pics ASAP
It is such a huge interior makeover that now I'm think of making the pillars and "oh s*** bars" match the headliner.
I'm just...
Excellent ideas, thanks for the replys. Now I just have to locate black vinyl/fabric paint. This will be perfect!
What makes the removal of the headliner so difficult?
