If metal shavings were a real issue, the engineers in Japan would have included in the manual to do an oil change after 1 mile. On that note, there's really no reason, under normal driving conditions, should you have to do oil changes beyond what the manual says.

Right, I understand that the manual states you can't (shouldn't), but can the 7 tow more than 2000 lbs without an issue? Obviously, I don't expect a true answer, but if it can tow 3500 lbs in Canada, why should there be an issue in the US???
