I changed my oil today. Golly it was as black as my hair. This is only after 3500K, but after a road trip, so I guess it must have loosened up quite a lot of stuff.

I have a 03 Protege ES. While doing a cross-1/2-country drive, the CD player would stop player for prolonged periods of time. It got to where I couldn't even get the CD out. A day later, it was working fine. Then I took it for a 3-hour drive, and the same thing happened again. Is it over...

I did some touch-up paint stuff today, and switched out my power steering fluid cap because the old one was cracked. Has that ever happened to anyone? I didn't realize that the break fluid cap could break. Is that a sign that my fluid is overheating?

I get that same squeak too. It first started about 3K after I changed my belts at 70K, then it happened again about 2K miles when my dad changed my belts at 80K (cuz he couldn't stand the squeak).

I went with the Gates kit when I replaced mine last month.

My 03 Mazda Protege has 68K mi on it and its been clunking when I turn and go over bumps. The guys at the shop said that its a bad strut bearing, but that I should just wait until the strut goes bad to replace it because its 68K. Are my struts pretty much doomed to fail soon anyways so I...
