    Mazda6 comparison

I like the quotes from the testers: Evans: “Engine’s got plenty of zip. Never had to floor it, and it never felt weak or made the car feel heavy. Everything about this car is smooth and fluid. The way the steering comes off center, the way the suspension eases the chassis into corners, the way...

    2014 Mazda6 Touring Purchase - First Impressions

I like the leatherette... It feels and looks great. Most people assume it's real leather.

    2014 Mazda6 Touring Purchase - First Impressions

They still have the oil burning in 2010? Amazing... My A3 was an '07, and the problems started in'06, which means in at least 5 years they've done nothing to address it... The oil burning was getting worse and I was out of warranty, so it was time to get out while I still had good resale...

    Heated front seats

Not having memory setting for the power seats/mirrors in the Touring irritates me. With 2 drivers, it's a nice feature, and one that shouldn't have much incremental cost. Many cars have this in their mid-level trim...

    Real World Fuel Economy

Agreed! At 500 miles, I'm getting 27 mpg combined with the new 6, with some miserable bumper-to-bumper driving sprinkled in. Same commute with the 2.0T Audi A3 I traded (which is a *little* car, and yes, required premium).. 22mpg. I'm hoping/expecting better in the next 3000-4000 miles, but...

    2014 Mazda6 Touring Purchase - First Impressions

Update after 550 miles... No issues so far. MPG in mixed driving has been around 27mpg. In pure highway, I've seen 33-34mpg. Honestly I drive at 75, 80, 85mph when I can, so I imagine if I kept it at 65-70mph, numbers might be better. Of course, I'll only drive that slow if 5-0/traffic forces...

Mazda6 vs CX-5 with kid on the way

Whether or not you need the CX-5 depends more about how much cargo room you need for weekend activities and road trips/vacations. A Mazda 6 is mid-sized sedan with a roomy interior and big trunk and should be more than adequate for 2 infants/toddlers and their gear. Personally, we tow a 23...

    2014 Mazda6 Touring Purchase - First Impressions

I just traded in my 2007 Audi A3 for my first Mazda ever, a 2014 Mazda 6 Touring (Liquid Silver) with the automatic. It has no options beyond what comes in the Touring package. I paid $24,100 for it, plus a very fair value for my trade in. Some initial impressions after a few days and 155...
