Driver training/ lapping day in the P5

Haven't posted for awhile. In car video of the P5 on a driver training / lapping day. Still the best car for Paxing at the local autoX. On this day was relatively quick in the wet (and hail), but the higher HP cars were a bit quicker on the one dry session. Still, one of the easiest, best...

What price would you pay for a new P5 right now? (CDN$)

Well, the conversion is about 1.35, so about 22,000 based on that. However, these Pro5's are a popular vehicle in Canada and the dealers never had much of a problem selling them. Mazda USA had to offer incentives to sell. The prices your are quoting are about what we paid for our new Pro5...

    Headlight help

Wasn't an option. There are no factory roof racks on Canadian P% (2003.5). The racks are dealer added (I believe Thule). Bought the car in June 2003 ... all had blacked out headlight surrounds. The only other distinguishing feature in Canada was the side marker turn signals. All the cars...

    protege5 article

I believe the article was Car and Driver: http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=7566&page_number=1 Although the numbers for the M3 are better, they liked the Pro5 better.

    Rear wiper fell off!

Thanks people, Went out tonight and checked assembly .... gave a pry on the plastic cover and the whole assembly fell off. Good thing didn't happen at 140k on the way to work. So no spousal abuse (good wording, except the spouse read it over the shoulders and then the real spousal abuse)...

    Rear wiper fell off!

Did the wiper actually fall off or .... ? It was a bit frosty out this am and when spouse turned on rear wiper, would not work. Had a look tonight (dark) and rear wiper will not rotate. The mechanism extending from the rear hatch is rotating, but not the wiper blade. I have not popped off...
