that's how my 2019 was when new....... I took it back and
complained and they said the same thing about the coating.
Guess it was true... smell went away after a few weeks........
so, should I just bring my 2019 cx5 na to dealer and say I have a concern ? even though
I don't remember seeing this warning, guess it could be stored in memory.. ???
what would the symptoms of this tsb be ?
thanks
I had my 2019 cx5 sport in for inspection at mazda dealer and they said I needed
a brake flush = cost $214 ....... wow....... I said let me think about it.
no, I didn't pursue it further, since several said no it doesn't lock..
but now the last 2 replies above saying it did/does lock !
I thought it locked, then one day it didn't and still doesn't ..
no error codes or clicks.. It's hard to turn when off , but I can
turn the steering wheel about...
I've had this issue....... when cx5 was new.... complained here and
at mazda dealer.... they showed me how to check it, when you push
the dipstick in , pull it out real quick, don't let it sit..
works for me , most of the time, hot or cold engine.
hope it helps
so can anyone confirm when you shut off cx5 the steering wheel
locks into place ? with a click ?
or have I driven to many other vehicles that I'm confused and that
is not a feature on cx5.
thank you...
When I shut off vehicle today, the steering column didn't lock in place...
no click either....
took it to local dealer, they said they can't look at it till monday....
service worker said it'll be 1 to 3 hours to troubleshoot !
he said no problem driving it like this ...
It's not the fob...
well, the battery levels were low ! had to put 8oz
of distilled water in total for all cells ! Got it filled
to high mark as best as I could tell... it was easier to
shine light into hole and gauge height of level
from top than from the outside... maybe need
brighter light..
thanks for the info in this thread... I didn't realize the battery had
to be filled. I'm sure mazda hasn't looked at the battery level either
every time I've brought it in for service.
I guess these battery caps just pull out ? they don't have threads correct ?
I'll try putting a flashlight...
I agree , get a deltran battery tender plus or jr... I leave my mower and
motorcycle on them for 4 months without worrying. Been using them
for 15 years without problems..
well, I'm reading the letter and it's from my local dealer and has the manager sig on it.. and all local info, plus sent 1st class mail.
Maybe your right though, I'm not a expert on marketing , just posting about this offer... that I didn't use.
