Many (if not most) built-in nav units lock out features while you are driving. You can buy kits for some nav units that override this lockout. I don't believe a kit exists yet for the cx9 and denso units.
Personally I would just pull over for a few minutes to look for POI on the nav. And...
Totally agree about the size. I moved up from a Jeep Cherokee and at first I felt like the cx9 was huge. But when you sit in the drivers seat it feels and drives like a smaller vehicle.
I've been driving my cx9 fitted with Blizzak DMV1's over the past month in Minneapolis. Today I drove my wife's Audi A4 to work. The difference in traction was substantial. The cx9 with good winter tires is fantastic.
I bought the husky cargo liner. It looks and feels great. I rarely, if ever, use the 3rd row seats. I sometimes haul gear that is wet and I appreciate the fact the husky liner is one solid piece. I use weathertech digital fit liners in the front.
Ditto. I know that in CA you can't have red or blue at the front of the vehicle. Only law enforcement can show those colors. Here in MN blue lights and pretty much all aftermarket lights are illegal unless you are operating something like a snowplow. I agree these lights look cool. But you...
No way to retrofit. The nav's are different.
I didn't buy the interface for the sound quality improvement. I bought it for the integration with the nav display and wheel controls. The usability is definitely worth it to me. The slightly improved sound quality is just icing on the cake.
I bought the stormy blue. It's hard to find this color on the lot in the twin cities because they sell so quickly. Plenty of black and white vehicles on dealer lots. I've only seen one red. My second choice would have been the black cherry. Very classy color.
I hear ya. I won my ipod at a conference so I figured since the ipod was free I could justify the extra expense. I like being able to control song selection via the wheel control. I also like being able to switch playlists and genres easily while driving. Nothing wrong with the aux port.
Ditto on the weathertech digitalfits. I don't even notice them anymore because they are so well molded to the floor shape. I bought the husky liner for the cargo area and highly recommend it. It's less expensive than the weathertech. It covers everything behind the 2nd seat so if you use the...
I had the ipod integration module installed on my 2009 GT w/ nav this morning by the dealer. Overall I'm pleased with the result. The nav unit in 2009 models is different than in older models and the functionality is clearly better.
My aux port and sat audio work fine after the ipod module...
I picked up the ipod integration module and wiring harness today for my '09 GT. All of the ipod controls are available on the nav display. The nav screens look better than I expected -- at least on paper.
The install process looks involved. I'm not excited about taking apart the dash on my...
I believe that 8k is possible on a new '09 GT -- just not in my metro region. Believe me I tried for 2 months. The closest I got was $7500 off MSRP over Memorial weekend. If I added in the $500 coupon then I technically would have gotten to $8k. Currently the regional dealers are back to $6.5k...
