    New owner of 2015 CX-5 Sport Manual

    After over 10,000 miles with my manual 2.0 I am very satisfied. Live in Colorado, drive on some hills often(if you can call the rockies hills). My gas mileage is excellent. Drove it on a Moab trip with 4 people, 3 dogs, and 2 space cases. It didn't miss a beat.

    What did you pay for your CX-5?

    That seems like a good price to me. In Colorado I could only find 2 dealers with 2014 CX-5 sport manuals. I got mine last September when we were much earlier in the model year. I spent about $800 more than you, but I didn't have the mazda loyalty $500.

    Tips & tricks for better gas mileage with your CX-5

    The other benefit of anticipating stops is less wear and tear on the vehicle. I drive like that, and my Chevy Prizm's clutch lasted 198,xxx miles.

    Just went on a 1250 mile road trip with my 2L manual and got the worst mileage yet. I thought highway mileage was supposed to be the best. I averaged about 27.5 mpg. Of course it could have been impacted by the 200 pounds of dogs, 4 people, or two big space cases with 1 weeks worth of camping gear.

    Can you get Yakima racks in the UK. If you use q towers. They do not need side rails.

    CX-5 AWD snow performance

    My FWD CX-5 with stock snows didn't slide once going to work or home from work yesterday in the Denver area. When I try to throw it into a slide on empty roads or parking lots it is very predictable and easy to recover from. Maybe you guys should have bought the FWD.

    I have the base stereo, and Polk speakers on the dashboard are my #1 accessory. I also installed a trailer hitch, all weather floor mats, and a rubber cargo tray.

    Winter weather mileage

    We had a pretty good cold snap last week. For 5 days it never got above 10 degrees F or -12 C, the lowest the temp fot was -20 F or -29 C. My mileage dropped from 34 MGP to 28 MPG. I think a lot of that is warming up the car and defrosting the windows.
