check out option racing on ebay....i got my intake for 60 bucks shipped. It's basically a rip off of the injen intakes for the 3. There's really little difference from one intake to the other. An intake is an intake.

I don't see why this bothers you? It will help you get better gas mileage. my 08 HB does the same thing, but if i punch it, it will drop to second instantaneously and take off. If you have a model with the manumatic then just drive with that if it bothers you that much, but really it's...

So I got an intake from Option racing and bolted it on. This things is EXACTLY the same as an injen intake fitment wise. Went in easily, no CEL (thank god) and sounds beastly,(4000 rpm is the sweet spot with best engine sound). IMO not bad for 30 bucks + shipping. (60 total)

Check out Option Racing on Ebay for a Cold Air Intake. Got mine for 60$ if you don't mind it not being a well known name. The Option one looks exactly like the injen CAI. =)

Well I'm not asking about changing tires to go faster. I'm smart enough to know that the car's computer won't change the max speed because I changed tires. I wanted to know if the fact that my car came from the dealership, new, with 140 mph rated tires, will my car go faster than 118mph?

This is absolutely the answer I wanted to hear, but I must ask, how do you know this?

Ok so every source i've checked has said that the 3's speed limiter is set to the max speed of the stock tires. My tires have a speed rating of 140 soooo, will my car go faster than another mazda with different tires with a lower speed rating?

I went with a different intake from option racing. seems llike a better product with a more established company.

I have a trailer hitch on my 3 that i use for my bike rack. Installed super easily. Just enlarge some holes that are already there on the frame and bolt it on. Shouldn't void the warranty, but don't quote me on that. All I know is my hitch and rack setup is amazing and i love having it!
