Last night I tested the blower motor and it works fine. I eventually found the blower motor resistor and it appeared to have continuity(as per the Haynes manual). I tried to bypass the switch using a relay however it didnt work. I checked the line for voltage(line at the back of the switch) 22...

Guys, any ideas on how to remove the blower and replace the resistor?

Its a 95 Protege lx...I guess I should have mentioned that. I will have to rip the dash apart to get behind the switch... I'm thinking of taking it to a shop tomorrow to have it looked at...

ok......so its possible I may have removed the wrong part.....i feel really stupid about it.......any idea where the EGR is on my car.....?

so does that mean I have to remove the allen key? I can't see any other way of getting the unit apart? Also, is the unit spring loaded? The last thing I want is to have to open the part and then have parts fly out all over the place and have pieces missing etc...This is a HUGE concern for me.

I'm relatively new to the EGR discussion......I'm not sure how to move the piston ? Also, the unit looks different and I'm clueless as to how to go about cleaning the EGR.

I want to change the front brake pads on my 95 protege but i'm not sure how it comes apart. I've taken the caliper off, and there's two long rods holding the pads in place.....they are pretty rusted and have no allen key or any time of screwdriver to open it with. Does anyone know how to...

hi, yeah I have an alarm/starter combo put into my 95 protege...the led would not drain your battery so don't worry about that... as for the the resistor issue, yeah it is a one wire system and you definately need to purchase the resistors...I would suggest checking with any electrical...

how do you know what each code means? how do you know 34 is IAC valve?

Hi All, I have a 95 protege and yesterday on my drive back home after filling gas, my CEL light came on and is still on....i checked my gas cover and it's tightened...any sites with possible reasons why the CEL might come on... Any other help? Thanks
