    FS: 2003 Black MSP

Heya... Yeah, it's been a while; I tend to lurk on message boards unless I really have something to say. :) Thanks; yeah, I hope I can find a job soon so that I can keep the car, but right now it's hurting more than anything. I should have put it up in Feb., but I was stubborn and thought I...

    FS: 2003 Black MSP

Hey all... I just wanted to let the Cali people know that my car is up for sale. Unfortunately, I lost my job back in Feb., and have been using my savings to pay for my car and other bills; now, my savings is starting to get low, and I still haven't found a job. Since this car is $400/mo, it's...

Any stock 2003 MSP's out there still???

2003 Black MSP, with just over 19k miles - 100% stock ... was planning on installing a GReddy TT I purchased, but never got around to it - probably never will. And my car is soon to be FS, if anyone is interested. - John

    Petition to Mazda

To Whom It May Concern: We are writing this letter to you in regards to a drivability issue that we have with the Mazdaspeed Protg. Over the past few months, many of the owners have experienced a hesitation/stumble problem while the car is in boost in 2nd gear and up. While at partial...

    Black MSP on 15

If it was sunglasses, yes; if not, no. Another way to know if it was me is that I have personalized "VETERAN" license plates. - John

    Black MSP on 15

Heya, Krillin! Yeah, I don't talk much on the boards... I usually just read the posts and get information. :) I'd show up for meets, but I both work and go to school full-time, so I have no free time. :( Yeah, I've actually had mine for almost a year now. If Mazda can ever get the ECU...

    Black MSP on 15

It could have been me, depending on the time of day... I live in Escondido and go to UCSD, so I'm up and down the 15 all the time. Have any other identifying characteristics on the car/driver? - John

ECU "Fix" - still not fixed?

Any way to test for this without a boost gauge? - John

ECU "Fix" - still not fixed?

Well, I'll be at work, but that's okay because my car is in the shop until tomorrow, likely. :) I'll take a look when I get the car back and see if it's there. - John

ECU "Fix" - still not fixed?

Notorious: I had the flash done at Hine, but the local dealer is Cush in Escondido. I'll have to check for the sticker when I get the car back; the only thing I can think of otherwise is that it took them like 5 hours to do the flash. What they told me was that they kept trying to download the...

ECU "Fix" - still not fixed?

I'm one of many who has experienced the hesitation problem, along with a loss of power in the lower gears. This past fall, when the ECU flash came out, I was excited. I don't plan on performing any major mods to my car, with the primary (and pssibly only) mod being a Turbo Timer. So I wasn't...

    Cush Mazda & ECU Fix...

Well, I got my flash done at Hine Mazda this morning. One note: Call them first and make sure they have the flash downloaded already, BEFORE you take your car in. Their connection to Mazda's server was acting up, and they were having all sorts of problems downloading it for me this morning. I...

    Cush Mazda & ECU Fix...

To those who may consider it: don't even bother calling Cush Mazda about getting your ECU patched. I've taken my car there for service, against my better judgement after the poor sales experience I had there, because they're literally 5 miles away from my house. They're done well by me so far...

    Car Running Like Ass!!

Same here. I reset my ECU today, and took it out for a spin. The car is back to "normal" now, and the hesitation is at least temporarily gone. Hopefully, we won't have to reset the ECU for much longer... ;) - John
