i used a b6t FWD BF gearbox (g series) with a straight cut 3rd and a special LSD i got from a mazda circuit car

i had the car dyno'd a few months back and got 359.3hp at the fronts on a dyno dynamics just for interests sake , racing it next weekend

well the mr2 box is all running and in the car , now weighs 60kg more! anyway the new ET streets hooks good for 1.9 60fts , however the ratios in 3rd and 4th are a little tall and bog however i did a 12.204@123 very easily anyway , im gonan change the ratios later if the new gt3071 twin scroll...

the lsd is sold as for the suzuki - i think dave is always going to be ahead ..im not fussed as im not aiming for 10s as it needs a cage then etc..ill try beat his 11.2 tho

yes that is tru , but its more of a challenge..im going to get decent semi's now..i might get some full slicks too and try both

well look at the diff , its insanely huge. the shafts are HUUUUGGE......even if it breaks theres 4 boxes up the road for 400 each...no fuss

no the new gearbox is toyota so no mazda parts are being used... here is the TRD 4 spider clutchpack lsd im using now next to the mazda stock open diff G series. for some reason i dont think its going to break..

hahah yeah oh well rumor has it , its a great octane booster aswell

i still cant beleive u guys runthat sort of power thru a mazda trannie/gear sets . do u change them every race meet?? what goes wrong with the BP at 600hp? i have a FE3 in my garage here for a mates car but the motor doesnt look any better in performance to the bpt really , just 1mm larger...

the bonnet is stock as a rock painted black with real carbon layered on it...its pure eat ass really but looks good. its been 2k clear coated over the resin heres a vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvyK4UVTPNo

also to note the old b6t box i was running had a 4 spider competition mazdaspeed LSD clutchpack in it with a custom straight cut 3rd gear.. first i blew the straight cut 3rd ..the lsd was fine that would never break, however the bearings in the g series are just too small and it blew the case in...

heres a sneak peak at the new box in the bay its been a very large mission with milling work on the bellhousing to fit the fly and custom clutches , the adapter plates took me ages , the shafts are evil and so on...

i made the front bar myself and the rear is a NZ/Japanese spec low drop bumper from the 1994 - 97 wagons they still made them and u can get 4wd ones etc aswell. i also grafted a sunroof in from a hatch. u can msn me whsu2003@hotmail.com
