Thats removable in the sense that its not welded to the car.... You'd have to strip out half the dash to do it!

It is removable. I could pull it out and swap it for the indash cd changer or a minidisc player. It's part of the modular audio system that Mazda deleoped for this car.

It certainly is, and its a nice toy to have. although I think I'd rather see an iPod interface in there, as I already have 100+GB of MP3's on my home PC. I gave up on cd's years ago, and I'm now having to burn albums onto cdr's so I can put them in the car.
