    Without a video of the smoke and more information it is not easy to diagnose...however, if you have WHITE smoke and it does NOT stop smoking after warm-up, or gets worse, then you most likely have an internal coolant seal failure and you are burning coolant which is a common issue for 86 RX7s...

    For the Kenwood Units you don't need the bypass unit....just ground to chassis and select Safety Off in the menu....should never give you issues. I have done a LOT of Kenwood installs over the years. It's always possible that your head unit is different, but that series is the same wire...

    weird misfire

    How is the idle? Any changes there? Sounds to me like your spark and fuel are good....its the air mixture that is screwed up... Of course..that could be caused by a lot of different things. Start at the intake and work your way to the manifold looking for leaks.... Do you have a boost gauge...
