Which tire sizes work for stock rims

I read somewhere that no tire expert would recommend a 40 series tire on a 7 inch wide wheel- that it would have to be at least 7.5 and the MS6 stock wheel is 7". Have you noticed any problem with yours?

Which tire sizes work for stock rims

Yes that does make a lot of sense. Thank you very much to both of you. I guess I will go with 225/40 now. That is what I was hoping to be able to get in the first place. So I guess it is okay that the diameter difference (around 2%) will be greater with these as opposed to the 45's? I think I...

Which tire sizes work for stock rims

Sorry for so many questions but I remember reading somewhere in the owners manual that if you change the tires from stock size that it will affect the the AWD system or stability control. I can't remember which it said, it was one of them, but is there any validity to it?

Which tire sizes work for stock rims

Thank you very much. This is just a curious question, but if stock tires are 45 series how come the 225/40's would be closer to stock height? Is it just because they are wider and it balances off the lower aspect ratio?

Which tire sizes work for stock rims

I appreciate that but I am a novice and don't really have much knowledge about offset etc. and the sticky was kind of confusing to me. It sounds like offset mainly applies to changing wheels not tires but I may be completely wrong. I was just wondering if someone could give a quick response...

Which tire sizes work for stock rims

I have a 2007 MazdaSpeed 6 and it's about time for new tires. I was wondering which sizes work well on stock rims. Can I get 225/40 or would it be better to get 225/45?

Can you program a MS6 to send more than 50% of the power to the rear wheels?

Yeah I guess I was just nervous when I saw that it is a 100:0 split in normal driving. The car drives great. I can't really tell at all that it is front-wheel drive bias. I just remember with the acura that I had that sent 260 hp through the front wheels, the torque steer was crazy. But it seems...

Can you program a MS6 to send more than 50% of the power to the rear wheels?

I got it for $20000. I'm not sure if that was a great price or not but they gave me an incredible offer for my trade-in. I'm so glad I went with the Speed 6. After driving it for a couple days, I haven't noticed any of the torque steer and not too many front wheel drive characteristics that I...

Can you program a MS6 to send more than 50% of the power to the rear wheels?

Yeah I was just curious because I love the characteristics of rear-wheel drive and I had the hardest time deciding between a MS6 and a Mustang. In the end, I couldn't pass up all the Speed 6 had to offer when the only thing I liked about the Mustang was that it was rear-wheel drive. I ended up...

Can you program a MS6 to send more than 50% of the power to the rear wheels?

I was wondering if it is possible to program a MS6 to send more than 50% of the torque to the rear wheels? Or can you make it send at least half the torque to the rear wheels all the time?

    Considering purchasing MS6

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am seriously considering purchasing a used 2007 MazdaSpeed 6. The main question I have is whether or not at launch 50% of the power will go to the rear wheels. I have read reviews from car and driver and motor trend and it seems like power only goes to the rear...
