Thanks for the replies. I just needed to know how slick snow is with all season tires. We've never gotten enough snow in Houston to where it sticks on the roadways. I'm well aware of black ice because that's about all we get.

That sounds about right considering it's a new explorer that got hit. Parts and labor isn't cheap... Looks like they're just replacing it completely and not just repair. So they have to take all the components off.

I've had a dashboard rattle recently..I couldn't find it either, I thought it was the glove box door, but no....then it went away after a couple of days....I only heard it in shakey/rough roads though.
