The installer put mine on the upper windshield (right beside the base of the rear view mirror), on the passenger's side, so it's not visible from the driver's seat.

Compustar offers a mobile phone app, called Drone Mobile, that allows remote start/lock/unlock from anywhere (with an Internet connection). It requires an annual subscription. We use it for both of our CX5s. It works very well, and may be a solution for you.

I put these 17" wheels on my 2019 CX-5 Signature last week. The tires are Bridgestone Blizzak WS80. I bought this wheel/tire package 3 years ago for a Subaru Outback (I don't put on a lot of miles annually). No fitment problems on the CX-5, but I needed to replace the TPMS sensors.
