    Show me your CX-5 wheels

On a CX-5, approximately 92 cm. Good luck with that!

    TPMS on a 2016 GT

Yes, it's passive (sensorless) - the way all vehicles should be! There is a dash button that let's you re-sync when you change tires over, although if they are the same diameter you may not need to use it. Flymo

    Power lift gate?

Parts from the Ford Escape may transfer over - the vehicles are very similar. Probably quite a lot of work.

2015 CX-5 humming noise at speed

MP, to rule out noise from the roof rack, it's easy enough to remove the crossbars - that's where most, if not all, of the noise comes from. You're right, moving the crossbars around does not help much, if at all. Flymo

TIRERACK.COM Questions. Anyone with experience using them?

Quite right on the stickout calculation, 418 - I should have thought of that. Regarding the lug nuts, having them fit in the counterbore is one factor, the other is the shape of the lug nut seat - there are cone and ball styles. The lug nut style needs to match the rim style otherwise it will...

TIRERACK.COM Questions. Anyone with experience using them?

Kjh, that's certainly a factor. I have appreciated the online discount houses because they offer a wide selection of rims and tires - it makes the most sense when you're buying both, as mounting and balancing come for free, and you can just pop the tire on. If buying just wheels or just tires...

TIRERACK.COM Questions. Anyone with experience using them?

I have used both tirerack and their competitor discounttiredirect a number of times, with good success. 1) I'm not sure what you mean by "spacers." If you mean centering rings, then my recollection is that both places included them with the wheels. It certainly does not hurt to ask. 2) Again...

New CX 5 Grand Touring Owner with a wheel/tire ???/slightly rough choppy ride

Tom, put an ad in your local Craigslist - or even better, if you can get friendly with someone from the dealership (not the person who said the swap wasn't possible) see if they can point you to another CX-5 customer who'd like to trade. In general the 19s are more desirable and more expensive...

I'd be very interested to see a pic of this trail, and/or your CX in action on it, if you get a chance! Flymo

Winter Tires Needed for 2016 AWD?

The answer to your question depends on your driving habits. If you frequently have to travel long distances in snowy conditions, really need to get out sometimes regardless of how snowy it is, or just want to maximize safety, then snow tires are a no brainer. If you can simply stay put when it...

Car rolling backwards while in park on an incline

I'm not trying to talk anyone into following my lead, but just to answer the question that was asked - if you feel your vehicle is unsafe when parked without the brake on, or that it's a theft deterrent, by all means, use the parking brake. I am glad to hear the Winnepeg experience indicates...

Car rolling backwards while in park on an incline

I'm guessing you don't get it because you live in Southern California and / or mostly drive automatics. I was taught to never use the parking brake unless parked on a steep hill, for a number of reasons: 1) cable-operated parking brakes can freeze up in the winter. 2) cables stretch, so if you...

2015 Mazda CX-5 Torque Converter Recall??

The original poster had a "recall of a recall" - that is, his dealer was very careful and in double-checking that the recall had been done, found out that it had not been. With concerns about his dealer, Pretzel is correct to be worried about it, as in the same situation he might not have been...
