Hard to get a dealer to be below MSRP on a car that just released. I was below MSRP based solely on rebates. I did however get about $700 over value on the trade of my early 2014 GT it's tech. The fact that I paid MSRP is great because they are going for 1.5k over in the Pacific Northwest.
We drove the 2017 crv about a month ago. Hike I did like the acceleration, I didn't like the cvt transmission, and absolutely hated the interior. My personal belief is that Mazda did a great job with the 2017. If we didn't already have a 2014, I might have considered a 2016.5 at a lower price...
We just picked up a 2017 Soul Red Crystal GT with premium package last night. Coming from an early 2014 model (purchased in Jan 2013) I can say that the 2017 is in deed a fine vehicle. Overall everything is more comfortable, and the head-up display is great.
A new set of speakers will absolutely make a huge difference in the sound quality. It is possible to have decent sound from the stock system without adding an amp or sub. Do keep in mind that if you are wanting good lows, you should consider a sub. I would check out...
