Has anyone out there messed around with different cam profiles to produce Real World horsepower, without completely dumping around town driveability? I'm not greedy just looking to free 20 or so ponies. Any advice would be welcome.

Yes I know, that was my first response as well. I've watched both the vics and vtcs actuators function normally while the engine "bucked like a raging' bull" . This is what lead me to believe that one or more tumbler valves had come loose. Now I know that this was not the case so..what else?

I'm having a very similar problem. Dealer told me it was Vtcs, but that turned out to be completely wrong. No codes for bad coils huh? I'll replace mine tomorrow and let you know how that goes.
