Never said I traded a CX-5 for a CX-5. I just used my example to show that a cx5 shouldn't lose $6k in less than a year when the vehicle I just traded lost only $11k in 5 years.

I don't mind providing additional information. The truck I traded was a 2007 Dodge diesel. When I purchased it in October 2007, I got a really good deal as it had been sitting on the lot for over a year. The CX-5 I purchased was $400 below MSRP and the dealership had no doc fees, add-ons, etc...

I was pleased with the trade value of my truck... I was referring to another poster who suggested that a 2013 CX5 that went for $26k new would probably bring just $20k if traded in now with 10k miles. While that may be the case, that depreciation seems pretty steep, even for a new vehicle.

That is pretty bad. I just traded a 5 year old truck with 60k miles that I paid $31k for (new) and got $20k on trade. I hope these CX-5s hold their value better than that.

I've had my CX-5 a little over a month now and am still trying to figure out how AC works with Auto Temp Control. Every time I press Auto, the A/C LED and the A/C indicator in the LCD screen comes on (regardless of outside temperature). Then if I press the A/C button they both go off. And if...

I have found that this CX-5 is more sensitive to speed than some of the other vehicles I have owned. It gets around 33 mpg at 65mph, but can drop to as low as 24 mpg at 80 mph. For comparison, my Escape V6 ranges from 20-23 mpg for these speeds. (These figures are from the computer)

I haven't seen another since I purchased mine on 11/1. Before then I'd only seen 2 on the road. In comparison, I have seen at least 20 new Escapes.

Nevermind. I ordered a set of Lloyd custom fit rubber mats in ivory. I know they're not as heavy duty as the weathertechs, but should be good enough for occasional muddy boots, etc. Plus I think the color will match better and they are about half price.
