Anyone have a spare, for a 2000 Protege, that they' dlike to unload? I have now found out that only ONE of our remote keyless units works.. the other one's fried. :( D.

Dammit. Well, if anyone has an '02 Protege they need a keyless remote for, I've got one for sale - because it won't work for our '00 protege. :( I confirmed that the battery's good (swapped it with the battery in my gf's remote on her keychain) and it's no joy. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT...

Found a driver's side rear door actuator on ebay, $30 shipped.. it's on the way; I expect I'll need to do some surgery on it, pull out the worm gear and put it in the driver's side FRONT door actuator assembly. Fingers are crossed - and thanks for all of the help! D.

Same story on my GF's Protege, but for the Driver's door.. Anyone know if it's possible to replace just the skin, as opposed to needing to replace the entire door? D.

Okay, here's an oddball question for anyone reading... What if you purchase a slightly 'off' transmitter? My GF's got an '00 Protege that we're touching up, and I snagged a second transmitter from Ebay for $8. When it got here, it wasn't as advertised (so I'll send it back if it doesn't work)...

heh.. What, you're not gonna pull it off your Protege to sell us?! ;) Any idea what the part # is? Are they specific to doors, or is it the same unit on all four? I'm looking on ebay, too... D.

From reading this thread, sounds like this *IS* the part I need to fix my GF's car. Anyone got ANOTHER one available? :) D. *edit* She's got a 2000 Mazda Protege... She thinks an ES.

Not sure if this is the part I need or not - my GF has an 03 Protege, and the driver's side power door lock just hums but doesn't open when all the others do. Lookin' to find the right replacement part - I'm mechanically inclined, just not automotively informed.. help? D. *edit* make that a...
