Basically Hank3 has it. Only 2001-2003 models can interchange the headlights. Unless you want to do the Ford Lynx full front conversion from overseas which will require probably the whole front end parts but you will be unique.

Oh dang I thought you were going almost 70 on city streets LOL. KM/H's owned me. I also have the Bluetooth adapter and the Torque App. Such a valuable tool. I now have one adapter installed on each of my Mazda's to monitor them.
Unfortunately ours had the same problem. We were still under warranty when we had it done. Our Mazda dealer went ahead and changed the timing belt and water pump as well while they were there if I am not mistaken. We now have 85K on the ODO and going strong.
