That's what I thought, EGR Means Echaust Gas Recirculation and MAP means Manifold Absolute Pressure, so it would make no sense to have an "Exhaust Gas Reciculation Boost Manifold Absolute Pressure" Sensor!!! I'll borrow the GF's car tomorrow, try out some stuff ;)

I'm faily certain the turbo is just fine. If I am not mistaken, the MSP's are running MAF sensors , so if there's a leak AFTER the maf sensor (in the intake path), the whole calibration of the car is thrown out of balance. That explains the smoke!! I'll let the Mazda Guru's explain why :p So...

Cool, thanks for the answer.. I knew it had a lockup TC from the way the tranny was acting under load (from a hill) with the Cruise Control activated... I was'nt sure though, It's the 1st time I see a Lockup TC in a 4 speed auto! Now that is RPM reduction!! LOL
