You've got it backwards.. At WOT the car goes into OPEN loop mode.. in this mode fueling is basically determined by preset fueling in the map.. it does not take into account the a/f ratios to determine fueling.. At cruise/part throttle the car is in CLOSED loop mode.. this is using sensor...

Ive logged in temps as low as -20 F and have never seen readings that have deviated from the commanded AFR ... about the only thing I have really noticed when logging in cold weather is that my throttle is limited to about 28% max opening ..

Who the hell told you that amisol, royal purple, or any other synthetic oil is supposed to burn? That is exactly opposite of one of the advantages of running synth in the first place!.. Synthetic oils resist burn off better than conventional oil.. that is why they are better in high temp motors...
