There are plenty on eBay here in the US. Just bought one from Texas that came out of a 2020 CX-5 and put it in my 2018 CX-9. All the GEN 65 CMUs should be compatible. Newer units reportedly have better hardware.

Replaced the CMU with the one that came out of the 2020 CX-5 and all is working perfectly now with CarPlay and USB hub. Updated firmware to 74.00.311A as well.

No it covers gaskets. Dealer wanted to replace the entire head without further diagnosis because of the likelihood of future issues and $200 price difference as opposed to teardown. GEICO wants tull tear down of the head before anything else happens, couldn’t care less about $200 price...

I do as well. Alternative is to put the old head back on with a new gasket, if no cracking present and it is within spec, and sell or trade the vehicle.
