    Great advice gang, I may go to class 2 after all. Question: I now have a bumper notch, is there a class 2 out there with the same bumper notch hugging characteristics of Mazda's Class 1?? Ah the fun... I too have been researching bike carriers and trailers for months!

    I have one regret... The Class 1 hitch. Didn't know much about hitches when I had Mazda put it on, but now that I'm shopping for a trailer and a bike carrier, I feel like a fool.     +1 - Zeal Red is awesome, this why it was used in most of Mazda's "glamour shot" material and in the Japan's Car of the Year photo shoot. :)

    Dealer installed hitch - hack-job on the bumper notch

    Thanks z-man. Hoping the same thing, I contacted Mazda directly and through Facebook to confirm the backorder, doesn't make sense unless the dealer is sand-bagging because the nut is on them... We'll see :)

    Follow-up on this... Dealer claims that the trailer lighting harness is on backorder with no delivery date available, WTF? These are new vehicles. Anyone have similar problem with the dealer and their trailer wiring? These guys were supposed to have this all wrapped up by now.
