    I sold my manual trans P5 with 180k and it still ran perfectly. I now have an auto with 161k and no problems yet.

    Protege5 - How many miles have you gone before changing the timing belt?

    My last P5 had over 160k miles before I changed it. It still looked good when it was removed. The P5 I have now has 158k miles and it hasn't been changed. I bought the kit, just haven't changed it yet. I'm not really worried about it.

    Looks to me like you can see where it is moving around. I would say it's worn.
