You know its funny that I just also realized that the Mazsaspeed Coiliovers (a.k.a KW V3) have an insert btw the main spring and the helper spring and my V2 do not. I wonder if that would have anything to do with the binding or elastic sound as well.

Yes. The order of the installation for the top of the strut assembly is (from top to bottom) the standard top mount, a supplied synthetic disk, standard axial bearing, and then a supplied spring seat.

I am actually wrong. That was a different system that I installed that I was thinking about. The KW's do not use the stock top mounts. They just sit on a plate.

Nothing looks wrong at all. That's why I can't understand the problem. Seems like more people are happier with BC and I am considering a change.

These use the stock top hats. I heard that this could possibly be the problem. However, I did call KW and first they told me to gun the top mount bolts, and then when the spring started popping, they said it's too tight and to re-torque to specs. Regardless, they still make the noise either way.
