My wife's KIA Soul was getting up there in miles. She looked at the Ford Escape, Honda CRV(is it just me or are Hondas and Toyotas going through a REALLY ugly design phase?) and a new Soul. She liked the Ford but ended up liking the features of the Mazda more. So far she loves it. First Mazda...
I usually have the first oil change on a new car done at 1000 miles. Then every 5000 thereafter.
The service manager at my dealer told me that Mazda puts in "special break-in additives" with full synthetic oil in a new motor.
Anyone else ever hear of this?
