There's a silver P5 for sale in Victoria for about the same price except it's absolutely immaculate. The only real problem is that it's automatic.

It would just be a matter of wiring it up. I can't remember which forum it was on, but somebody had wired up a GM compass mirror. Except for power, it should be mostly self-contained.

Basically, I'm gonna be looking into importing a Sport20 early next year (really hard to say no to a Protege with less than 100,000km for less than 2 grand), and I was wondering if anybody here has experience with them, and more specifically what the AWD system is like. I can't find anything...

If you've got an engine hoist, a couple sets of hands, and all the right tools, it should take 8 hours max. Even easier if you have a lift and can just pull the car off of the motor and drop it over the new motor. This is of course assuming it's just a straight replacement.

Wow, crazy you're not getting anything at $2000. I sold mine for $2300 really quickly with a decent bit of (half-assed repaired) rust.

Yup, It's usually paired with a 1.5L engine though. One or two that have AWD and the FS-ZE do come up from time to time, though.

This is even weirder now. Canadian got a totally different set of options then. I had a Sunroof, no AC, ABS, but no side airbags. From the cars I've seen for sale and at junkyards, this was probably the most common.

Reminds me of the wheels I had on my old P5 in the winter. I really only drove in the city, so I almost never experienced any rubbing. It looks like you're running a smaller tire by judging what the fronts look like, so you should be in the clear.

I'd be wary of those Boss speakers. Just because they say they're 250 watts RMS, doesn't mean they'll handle even a tenth of that. Otherwise, it should be fine so long as you don't use a Boss amp, because you're asking for some type of fire at that point.

Sorry if there's a wiki post or something about this already, but does anybody know if you could have both A/C and a sunroof on a P5? I'm wondering this because A) I've never actually seen this combo in person, it's usually been Sunroof/No AC, or No Sunroof/AC, and because B) I'm looking at...
