ok, just got her. runs great. tranny lags long. torque converter runs on and on in 1st (auto/overdrive) once she gets going, she runs GREAT! will she fail? or will she roll with this ?????

OK, checked the fuses, they are fine. The car overheats at idle, and there are 2 electric radiator fans, and neither goes on. there must be a sensor or ??? Where is it located? Thanks for your thoughts!

ok, I have a 1998 protege. It has always Idle'd rough. I had a junk yard engine put in after my daughter flaked on an oil check, and it has idle'd rough with both engines. I figure it is a torque converter. It does it worst in gear at a stop. It also does it in park or nutral. ...
