Your first automatic? Could it be that you are used to using two feet when driving? Pressing the clutch with your left foot and the brake with your right would transpose to being on the brake and the gas when driving an automatic.

The fact is people are injured or even killed all the time because some fool is more concerned with their phone or technology system than with driving.

Turns out that the cross racks were not tightened when mounted by the dealership. So l just slid them back and tightened both down. Problem solved, no more humming. Thanks for your response.

l am hearing the same sort of hum since installing cross bars. But only between 30 and 40mph. Will try sliding them to a different position or removing completely to confirm the source of the hum.
