no, i havent had the ecu re-flashed

hello... my car is very sluggish up until around 5500 rpms when it gets a sudden burst of energy which i dont think is boost... i cant even notice boost regularly... this is bothering me... any help and/or opinions on this matter would be nice. thanks

Lately, my car seems extremely sluggish. Occasionaly it will seem fine, but a lot of the time it will just seem like there is almost no power. A while back i had a thread about not feeling any boost and what i think is my car leanin out at 5500 rpm. Hmm well i guess it seems like there im not...

i guess if they dont want to look into pinging they are basically setting themselves up to replace some engines? seems pretty dumb to me

i want to push my car hard and see what happens, but im afraid if i got to redline my car will explode or something

yeah thats true, when you listen for something sometimes u hear things.... i will get someone else to drive my car though and see what they think... the clicking i was refering to though wasnt the pinging click, my clutch makes a clicking noise when i let off of it - dont know if that is...

i suppose i would be able to deal with this but it just seems like the pinging did some damage from the way my car feels when i drive it... i dunno kind of hard to explain i might take it to a car shop and get it checked out instead of the dealer.... not to mention the overall feel of the car...

took it to the dealer.... they said nothing was wrong with it, big surprise.... damn that pisses me off though

what exactly should i tell the dealership... i dont know if i can exactly replicate the sound whenever i want. i guess i should just ask them to check it out for damage and check it out for something that would cause pinging? my car is feeling really strange when im driving it now. when im at 3...

i just changed gas to 93 at shell, and i havent heard the noise yet... i drove the car up to around 4500 rpms, and didnt hear anything. i was somewhat afraid to go further from what i had read earlier in this thread.... maybe it was just the gasoline that i got earlier? i will drive it again...

yeah... im just going to take it easy with my car for now until i can get it to the dealership i bought this car expecting something amazing..... i must say i was shocked

yeah i know this sucks so much... dont want to have to leave my car at the dealership for another long period of time

s*** that sucks.... so something could happen at any time basically...

does it ping only when the noise is hearable or is it also dangerous when it isnt?
