Sources for Protege5 Roof rack delete strips?

Are you looking for the four hard plastic covers or the long strips to completely remove all roof rack mounting hardware (which requires removing the headliner)?

What have you done to your P5 today?

I've noticed the exact same thing with the 1-2 shift, and I think my 2nd gear syncro is starting to wear out from occasionally grinding 2nd like that. My worst gripe with my P5 is those mounts. I've never been able to find a good balance between reasonable NVH and smooth shifts and...

Protege5 won't idle after refueling (EVAP/O2 sensor issue?)

Okay, figure I should update this, as there have been some changes. As I described in my previous posts, I thought the Canister Vent Solenoid was a potential culprit. I checked this and it seems to operate perfectly. I pulled it apart, cleaned it, actuated it using an alternative 12v source...

What have you done to your P5 today?

Interesting. They may have been machined to fit. I've heard of people on here doing that for Lexus wheels. I've seen a few Proteges online with the STI BBS wheels so people must be willing to go through the hassle. If it were me, I'd go the Mitsubishi route, as the Evo Enkei wheels I believe...

What have you done to your P5 today?

I have a real problem with liking these cars. And my Facebook Marketplace recommendations aren't helping that. Here's this absolutely amazing example of a P5 up for sale again. The link in my quoted post from two years ago is from the last time it sold...

Guide LED Floodlights instead of dim stock fogs (Protege5)

Nice! I was almost about to get those exact ones and have seen them on other P5s. I would guess they are just as bright and are obviously cheaper than the ones I went with. I am a perfectionist though and the offset/smaller fitment in the stock fog light positions made me realize It would...

Guide LED Floodlights instead of dim stock fogs (Protege5)

Looking good. The clear white LEDs look clean and almost stock on your black car. At least compared to my silver P5 with the amber version of those lights. Now we need some pictures of the car from the outside with the lights on!

To part-out or not to part-out?

Hmm, don't have tons to say here, but cool to hear of another silver 03 MT P5 still on the road in the Willamette valley area. My P5 is at 196k, and while it's very structurally sound with no rust at all, I do worry about it mechanically. My 2nd gear synchro is going out and I do burn a lot...

    Seeking 2012 Mazda3i Purchase advice (P0841)

Hi all, Protege5 owner here. I'm keeping the P5, but looking for a car for a family member. Currently looking at a 2012 Mazda 3i Touring with the 2.0L engine and auto transmission, non-Skyactiv. 137k miles, 3 owner, has receipts for regular fluid changes from the current owner over the last 6...

Lame stock foglights? Here's an upgrade!

Still working on that alas... I had a thread open for it some time ago but I've just gotten used to pressing the fog light button and will probably stick with that, since the wiring to connect to the high beams seemed a little complicated on initial inspection.

Lame stock foglights? Here's an upgrade!

Hey that's cool! You should post some pictures if you get a chance.

What have you done to your P5 today?

Interesting. Is your P5 automatic or manual? Are these prices including labor at a shop? The engine/trans oil change at 135950 is notable to me as being quite expensive at least compared to doing it yourself. I need to try that ac resistor fix harness. I've tried to fix it manually with no...

What happened to CorkSport Protege Parts?

Does CorkSport seem to have comparitively more parts for other newer cars? I don't have a definitive answer but if I had to guess, I'd say it's the fact that the Protege is an old and not a commonly modified platform anymore. Just a guess though.
