Does anyone have any info or pictures on how do adjust the gear selector tension cable on the gearbox end, gear stick is slack and drops out of drive.

I was wondering on my Mazda 2 if drive is suppose to lock in on the gear shift selector and not go into the lower gears without pushing the shift button, and is there a way to tighten the tension cable on the auto gear shift selector?

Is there a way to adjust the tension cable or a way to lock drive in place on the auto gear shift selector? should it freely go into low gear?

I have put a 2005 Mazda 2 Dy Engine and Gearbox into my 2004 Mazda 2 Dy, but I am having trouble staying in Drive, I have to push the gear stick almost into neutral to get drive other wise it's in second ? i havea also swapwed gear selectors, Any ideas what I need to do? Should I swap gear box Ecu.
