i have been searching junkyards and wasnt coming up with much. I was hoping i could find one on here and drive to them if they were close enough but that ebay one is almost too good to pass on. I am a bit worried about it not saying if it run or not though.

really? i guess i was greatly mistaken about the price i could sell it for. so i think i have decided to forge it and keep it awhile and when im ready to find something else, ill just cut my losses and know i had fun with the car! you all were very helpful and im glad i could get your alls opinion!!

if i were to keep the car i would want the motor to be forged.. but that is if i were to keep it. i understand that the rods most people use on here are very strong and handle much more power i think i would ever reach. i have a feeling he is biased but he also said that he wouldnt put in any...

well i was thinking i should forge it because i see they go for around $8000 give or take and a non forged msp goes for much less.. like $5000 or a bit more.. i am not sure what rods he is talking about using but when i told him that everyone on the forum seems to be using pauter, k1, and wiseco...

Like the title says.. im looking to buy a Mazdaspeed Protege engine. I'm in Dayton Ohio.. 45414 and am looking for prices shipped. If you are close enough that we can me that would be great too. Let me know of any ideas. I do plan on forging the motor before i throw it in so just let me know...

I just wanted to thank Corksport as a whole and the lady i talked to on the phone the few times she called! I wish i got her name but hopefully she is appreciated at her job as i feel she did great! i got my exhaust system from corksport a week ago...
