    Koni plastic pieces

So, they just sit on the top of the non-moving part of the strut? Hard to understand that, I know. There's the gold part and the silver part. The silver part is what moves in and out of the gold part. The plastic washers sit on the top edge of the gold part?

    Koni plastic pieces

For anyone who has done or has knowledge of the Koni FSD install on a Mazda 3 hatch, how important are the little plastic washers/pieces, and just exactly where do they go on the strut?

    Strut part help

I replaced both bump stops and one strut bearing. The bump stops were $20 each and the bearing was $48.

    Strut part help

I didn't have the luxury of waiting for aftermarket ones, so I got stock replacements. I'm not going to have it for much more than another year, so they should last that long. If not, I know how to change them! lol I replaced the top bearing part on the passenger side as well. The drivers...

    Strut part help

So I finally got arountd to changing my struts. Michigan roads are Hell on them and after 65K and 4 years, mine were shot. I didn't know just HOW shot they were until I got them off. Well, only have one off so far, but that's been more than enough. Here's my issue: The bump stop is...

    Camber Kit

I have an '07 MS3. I put the MazdaSpeed springs and camber kit on it when it was new. Now my struts are shot, so I'm getting a set of Koni FSD's. My question is - should I put my stock springs back on with the Koni's, or can I leave the MazdaSpeed springs on with them? If I go back to the...

    how to remove passenger seat?

Funny - I was just trying to take my seat out to shampoo my carpet earlier today and got stuck at the very same clip. The tab on the large white clip - is it the ribbed part and you just push down and pull?

How important is the 'factory air box scoop'?

Thanks a ton for the reply. About replacing the part, the bolt and metal piece is still screwed into the frame, nice and rusted, and there's really no easy way for me to remove it. I could try to JBWeld a nut to it and try to unscrew it, but it's easier to just get an SRI (or leave the stock...

How important is the 'factory air box scoop'?

I realize that, and with a CAI, I understand that you remove it so that the air gets to the filter. However, without the CAI, the inlet for the stock air box is relatively tiny, and up in the engine compartment, so having fresh air channeled right to that inlet might be beneficial. Plus, I was...

How important is the 'factory air box scoop'?

It is the part on the top left of page 6 of the AEM instructions. The cp-e install instructions call it the factory air box scoop. How needed is it with the stock air box or an SRI?

How important is the 'factory air box scoop'?

The CAI itself didn't break, but the bolt that was glued to the rubber shock mount came unglued, so there was nothing supporting it.

How important is the 'factory air box scoop'?

The one that you remove to install a CAI, that's behind the driver side wheel well? I couldn't find mine when I removed my broken CAI and put my stock air box back in. Is it horrible and I'm ruining my engine, or is it not all that bad? How important is it if I decide to get an SRI? The car...

    What would it take ...

Trust me, everything you've said has run thru my head a million times. I forgot to add that I really want a moonroof, too, and we know that won't happen in the MS3. It sucks when you want something that you can't have!
