    I've done this using just a regular set of needle-noses as well. There is a bit of a twisting action involved... almost the opposite of what you would think.

    My 5 wheels were stamped 17 X 6.5 with a 52.5 mm Offset. I run Mazdaspeed 18X7's now with 225/40-18 tires in summer, and 17X7's (42mm offset) with 205/50R17 snow tires for winter.

    Flickering Radio lights??

    Try turning the light-dimmer switch near the speed-o. It may be in a "bad" spot. Occasionally mine gets moved after I clean the car.

    Throttle body failure - not covered by warranty?!

    TB replace is EZ... It's probably the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) if it's anything like every other car with a TB. I have swapped these out in minutes on Saabs. There is a way to reset the TPS on most cars. On Saabs, it's called "Limp Home Mode". Just reset the TPS and you are usually good...

    There are quite a few 3 mods that can be done to the 5. Look at the vendors... call them and ask them if the part will work on a 5 if you really want to know. I have a CAI/SRI installed. I have speed wheels.

    my first post-- I test drove a 5 yesterday

    I'm from the island, but am now in Denver, CO. I have a manual tranny 5 and snow tires for the winter. No problems at all in dry or heavy wet. I even managed to go uphill with my summers on in a freak spring snow storm.

    The dyno numbers were a bit odd. A guy with a Mazda 3 (2.0L) and an Auto trans had more torque (boom08) and the same HP. Our cars are wheezing at this altitude, as well. I know of a couple more reliable places if I can get with the Evo club day. Should be a good laugh for them! (crazy)

    If and when I do prep to mod, I will definately dyno prior to and afterwards at a more reliable establishment. (thumb)
