    Leaking IC pipes

Look...This is the last time Im gonna try and say it. People have done this to diagnose boost leaks for a long time. No water is going to get sucked in from there. Its only going to get blown out. Thats why its leaking in the first place...Because air is blowing out of it... Youre not going to...

    Leaking IC pipes

Buddy...Its a BOOST leak. He doesnt have a vacuum leak ( or at least hasnt mentioned it... ). And using carb cleaner wont do anything because ( like I just said... ) he doesnt have a vacuum leak. Hes got a connector somewhere, or a crack somewhere thats only seperating during boost. Youre not...

K&N Flat Panel Air Filter Helps

Go to the RX-7 forum and search for "TID mod". Its a common thing to do on our cars. The airbox and piping is restrictive, so well fabircate some PCV piping of large diameter and minimal bends with a cone filter at the end. Its well known to raise boost anywhere from one to two PSI easy. Many...

K&N Flat Panel Air Filter Helps

Why do you have to act like such a child? Why cant you just step back for a second and look at the whole picture. What were saying is that if your airbox is acting as a restriction, changing it over to a free flowing intake WILL raise your boost. Like I said, if you dont believe me, try my...

    Leaking IC pipes

Come on man...Think a little. God gave you a brain for a reason, now use it! Soapy water is there for a boost leak. As in, a leak that occurs when postivie pressure is present. Its not going to get sucked into the engine. It will just bubble up wherever the leak is at.

    MS Turbo question

Yes metal does absorb heat, but aluminum also radiates it away at a very high rate. I guess we should just use plastic radiators from now on too, eh?

    Leaking IC pipes

Hesitation Hater Find that boost leak and take off your MBC. Cranking up an MBC while a boost leak is present will leave your wastegate shut and overspin your turbo ( sometimes to the point of blowing up ). The best way Ive found to locate boost leaks is to put the car on a dyno and apply...

Thats an old and outdated book but its still a very good primer. If you do pick it up, just be sure not to take everything to heart.

Difference between Plastic and Silicone pipes??? is there???

You dont actually use silicon pipes...Just silicon connectors. Theyre usually employed in conjunction with some sort of hard piping ( NOT plastic ). Hard piping is better because it will not expand. I personally think that aluminum is one of the best choices for IC piping because of its...

K&N Flat Panel Air Filter Helps

What...The...****... So lemme see here, more air going into the engine doesnt equal more air leaving the engine? However much you paid for school was too much Ken. I suggest promptly getting a refund and investing the money into something thats actually worthwhile.

K&N Flat Panel Air Filter Helps

Kenetix Youre obviously an idiot with too much money on his/her hands. Having a restriction on the intake side of a turbo will limit the amount of boost you make. If you dont believe me, go try this little experiment. Take a sheet of plastic, cut a few round holes in it ( about quarter sized )...
