Guide: Mazda Firmware Update Information

I hope you are doing well. I own a Mazda CX-5 2022 imported from the USA, and I would like to change the system language to Polish. I understand that this requires updating the firmware to a European version.

My current firmware version is: system software 11038 gracenote databese 1.1.102071

Could you please help me obtain the latest European firmware version compatible with my vehicle? I would really appreciate your assistance.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards
Rafał

See post about 3 above yours.

It’s not something that can be done by an end user. There are places in EU that offer this as a service but that will require some research on your part.

I found out in Poland that it is not possible to install new software on a car from the USA without modifying the electronics. Something needs to be soldered, some kind of chip, before the update can be done.

I thought that 59.00.502 disabled the USB flash drive update. Can I still follow these instructions to update my 2015 Mazda 3 firmware from 59.00.502 to 74.xx.xx without using the serial mod method?

Not sure where you’re reading this from, but yes, you can update just using a usb drive.

I just completed this today for my 2018 CX-5 running on 59.00.504. I PM'd @Candurin who sent me links to both files I needed to jump to 70.x and then to 74x. I was very patient and followed the procedure carefully. I'm planning to install my https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned) tomorrow.

Thank you for this post and prompt reply to my request for the files!
Hello Dear,
I'm planning to buy a wireless apple carplay, did you purchased the Amazon Wireless Apple Carplay and did it work fine with you?

Anyone seen this error B4? I have a 21 CX-5 and need to update it. Previous owner apparently tried and failed OTA

Regarding wired and wireless AA and ACP, please be aware that Mazda only supports the wired aux hub and two large USB cables for Carplay and/or Android Auto conversions.
Genuine Mazda CP/AA wireless is only obtained by using an updated "Wireless CMU" (the inside dash hardware) and the updated aux hub.

Mazda does not sell or support wireless CP/AA via a "dongle." These "dongles" are not from Mazda nor can they be considered a genuine Mazda part. They are sold on Amazon, eBay etc. Quality and longevity is an unknown compared to OEM solutions.
Does it mean the cmu can be swapped let's say to the latest 2024/2025 CMU from the cx5?

Hello! I've already received the necessary file to upgrade my 2016 Mazda Demio from version 56 to version 70 and then to version 74. But I can't find the steps to follow to perform the upgrade. Can anyone help me?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever had this issue? I'm trying to upgrade my firmware from 58.00.250 NA N to 70.00.100A.

I've tried using multiple USB drives now. I also checked the hash tags of the copied files onto the USB, and they all seem to match just fine. I've also tried just jumping to the newer firmware to see if the system will allow that, but I've had no luck.

I have the AIO installed, but one of our expert members here (Candurin who's been very kindly helping me), doesn't seem to think it affects it.

Just wanted to know if anyone has/is going through this issue, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to resolve this. Thank you!

I have never had an issue, but I am aware that if the drive isn't formatted it won't work as well you also don't want to use a massive drive under 4gb drive is ideal

Quick question. I know this process takes a while and my understanding is these vehicles can be voltage stability sensitive at times. Would hooking up a 1.5A trickle charger as a "just-in-case" be a good idea while the update is running?
