2017 CX-9 GT - Rear seat warmers stopped working

Hi everyone.

My rear seat warmer completely stopped working. Both switches in the rear do nothing regardless of what position they are in, and by that I mean no heat is produced nor is the red light indicator on the switch itself illuminated. Both appear to have died at the same time.

My first thought was to simply check the fuse. However, I can't seem to find the fuse. At least not on my actual vehicle. Looking at the wiring diagrams I see that for 2016-2019 the in-cabin fuse box has a 20A R SEAT WARM fuse (the same amperage as the front seat warmer). That's great, but looking at my actual vehicle that fuse is not only missing from the fuse box itself, but also from the fuse mappings (for lack of better word) on the fuse box panel itself. Pretty much all the other ones match up perfectly, but for some bizarre reason the R SEAT WARM fuse is just no there. It's really quite hard to believe that they would not have a fuse for the rear seat warmer. So what gives?

Has anyone else encountered this. Only thing I can think of is my CX-9 is a Canadian model and for some reason that might be different from the wiring diagram, but I think that's just grasping at straws.

So clearly there must be a fuse for the R SEAT WARM but it must be somewhere else. Where else could it be? Is there a fuse box in the rear that I never noticed?

Very strange. I checked my 2018 just now and the diagram on the back of the plastic panel does show a R. SEAT WARM fuse. Two other sites I checked show that the fuse box for the 2016 and 2017 does not have the R. SEAT WARM fuse shown.

How are the other 20A fuses on the panel (PLG and SEAT WARM)? Is it possible that the rear seat heating circuit is tied into the original SEAT WARM circuit, or maybe even one of the other circuits like the R. OUTLET1?

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting to see that the 2018 matches the circuit diagram but not the 2017s. Ya, I'll have to check all the circuits now. I never use the rear outlet, and in fact it too could be non-functional and I wouldn't even know it. I'll give that a test and check the fuse.

Have you checked the fuse box in the engine compartment? Sometime it could be in there also.
