I just discovered that I can close the driver's window after the ignition is switched off on my 17. Nice. But none of the others work that way. The ignition has to be on to close the other three.

My question is for you 18 owners: do ALL of your windows close with the ignition off, or just the driver's? Since they're all auto now [nice!], I wondered. Do any of them open with the ignition off?

See if it's on a timer too. Some will only let you do this for a few minutes after engine shut off.

Don't have an '18, but on every car that I know of, closing the windows after ignition shutoff is on a timer. My Nissans were 30 seconds.
This feature also shuts off as soon as you open a door, which can be irritating when the passenger (usually my wife..lol), opens her door before the window has finished going up. AArgg.

Another great VW feature. Keep your hand on the lock location on the handle for several seconds and you can roll up all windows and close sunroof.

You could also do this with the key, hold down the unlock button and all windows drop. I'm getting a new CX-5 (trading in the VW Golf) this week, I don't suppose the CX-5 supports this as well?

Regarding 2018 model, extract from owners manual:

Unfortunately not. My 1996 Maxima had this feature and it was pretty nice to have.

When I showed the wife that on my GTI she just gave me a dirty look lol. It sure comes in handy though.

No her car, the CX-5, does not do that. And I can’t find anything like OBD eleven or VAGCOM to customize with Mazda.
