What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Happened to me too (minus the peacock), I was just sitting at a stoplight.

Anyway just got back from Santa Fe last night. Took a different route home up through Taos and ended up visiting the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Was very cool to see. Ended up putting way more miles on during the trip and driving to areas around Santa Fe that I am now at 56,500 miles. Just scheduled my 55k oil change for Friday. (lol2)
 
There are peacock around Arcadia, walking flying all over. There is an Arboretum in Arcadia, I guess because of that they hang out there.
We are fixing both cars, off the records. He pays for everything, even for my rental. This way, I don't have to worry about decreased value.
It is so cool to review the accident at home, on my big screen TV. The bang, it was really loud. (couch)
People, get dashcams!!!
After this accident, I will install one in the back as well.

Mine was a rainy day, a hill, and a 16 year old kid behind the wheel on a truck with bald tires.

$2500 later the rear of my vehicle was repaired and hatch was replaced.

Getting my oil changed in an hour. I'm at 56,700 miles, so probably the last time I get it done at the dealer (I have a coupon from Mazda so it's free). From here, will try to learn how to change my own. Don't really have a big enough garage to work in, so not sure where to do it. (shrug)

After that, will schedule another service closer to 60k miles before my warranty is up. Any idea what all I should get looked at?

Just buy some ramps and do it in your driveway.

If your goal is to minimize amount of time "under" the car. I Recommend getting these (what I do):

-Good quality car ramps: Car up in a few seconds.
-Rubber choke blocks for rears: Safety backup ready in seconds.
-Extra Large funnel that holds a large 5-qt oil container: saves time from having to open each bottle of oil.
-Fumuto Valve: Oil is drained at the flip of a switch in seconds, don't have to use tools.
-Only hand tighten the oil filter: saves time installing and removing filter in future, don't have to bust out tools.

It takes me aprox 15 minutes to change oil with ZERO hand tools needed.

Probably a shared parking area I'm guessing. Condo association probably frowns on changing oil there.
 
Right up against a section through the complex that has traffic and no room for people to drive through it if I was parked outside my garage.

Edit: Yes, exactly 7.
 
Oil changes are simple as long as you have enough space to drive up onto some ramps and drain the oil. Takes about 15 or 20 mins, even with hand tools.
 
So......just need to find a spot then. Thanks all!

Maybe a buddy will let me use his driveway. (Uhm)
 
Go on a quick camping trip. Enjoy mother nature, roast marsh mellows, change the oil lol. Look for a small shallow ravine of some sort :)
 
Heck, you could probably get it done in a Walmart or other box store parking lot before they realized what you were doing out there... if they were to even care. If Walmart lets campers stay overnight, they'd probably be fine with you doing your oil change, provided you didn't leave a mess.
 
Hmm may try that, but guarantee it will take me at least twice as long to do it for having never done it before :D

I know you posted a smiley face but I do hope that you're kidding about draining the oil onto the ground?
