Hello all,
Have had my CX-5 couple of months now and less than 5k miles. I am starting to notice a thud noise coming from beneath the vehicle when I press in the clutch at certain stops. I've ruled out the hill start assist because this happens on perfectly level ground. It doesn't happen all the time. I notice it most when I am at a light, while in neutral, in preparation to take off I will press in the clutch and as soon as the clutch is pressed in all the way a "thud" will sound. The thud sounds like a tennis ball hitting the underside of the car.
Is this normal? Is it one of those Jinba Ittai moments where the car is preparing for something? I hope other manual owners can chime in. I belive there might be 2 others....
*I would post this in the engine and tranny section, but I don't think it gets as much traffic than this section. Moderators, if you exist, feel free to move this thread.
