1574 keeps popping off couplers on the hot pipe, its happened 4-5 times in the past couple days and last night it sprayed a bunch of oil when it popped off. Car has a 'new' tubo with 45k miles according to the person I bought it from, why the hell is it leaking oil like the old turbo? This car has been one thing after another, just when I am almost happy with it this s*** happens.

Is it oil from your cylinder head vent? That's where I was getting a lot from.

I am the last person that would part out an MSP, plus this one is basically stock so not much money to be made on parts. Honestly just want to drive it since I have put all this time and money into it.
I just have a filter on the VC breather, it isn't connected to the intake.
I kinda decided I wasn't going to wash 1574 until I was satisfied with the way it ran. I was going to wash it yesterday since the rain finally stopped and this s*** started happening. Still have not cleaned it once since purchasing back in October!

The exhaust is done, radiator and hoses installed, and intercooler plumbing is in. Fluids, electronics, and the putting the front bumper back on and she'll be "done".
Are you going to post a video of you car when its all done?

I'll take some video, but I'm not going to bother posting it if the sound quality is poor. We'll see how my phone does. If I can get another few hours in tonight and tomorrow night I'll have it buttoned up and drivable. There's still a long list of things to do, but they can all be tackled later.

Do you think our MSPs can fit 17x10 rims with rear fenders rolled? I'm looking at some BBS's.

Dam. Yeah maybe too wide at stock height.
Oh man that exhaust looks good! Been thing about an exhaust for my car but I don't know if I want it louder.

The pics make it look closer than it is. I can shake it violently even with the crappy 12 year old hangers without any contact, rattles, or bangs. I'm going to grab some fresh hangers next time I'm near an autoparts store just because these are pretty gooey, but it really doesn't need them.
Thanks! With the muffler I'm using it will probably be quieter than stock.

I'm working with a semi-local mandrel bender to use this pipe as a template for a pre-bent, one piece section that would eliminate all the welding. This was built from cut up mandrel bends - incidentally this is all off-fall from building downpipes.

Awesome can't wait to hear it! Bwalt got good video with a droid. Irk if you saw it but he did a launch and fly by with a shift in passing the camera man.
