2016 Mazda cx5 GS - brake pedal sound and feel

Hi there, I just bought a brand new 2016 cx5 and I've had it for 1 week. Noticed today in stop and go traffic that when I slowly release the brake pedal, as it reaches the top before I completely release it didn't feel as smooth as the lower portion. I've never noticed before because in regular driving it's not noticeable. But from off the line just inching forward and gently releasing the brake it doesn't come off as smooth. And I can faintly hear it too.

When I got home and I pushed the brake with my hand and did feel some stickyness at the top right before releasing.

Is something not normal?

I've had mine for about 3-4 weeks now and I haven't noticed anything like what you are describing.
