dont know where else to post this.

but i got into two races tonight in the MP3

1st race was with a 2000 ZX2 he had a JBA shortie header and a muffler. he counted down and i got a bad launch let it go to high around 3000rpm my wheels were just hoping through 1st gear but we went to about 85 and he had me by about 1/2 a car lenght. lost this one

2nd race was against a 2001 ZX3 he has an intake and thats about it. same thing he counted down and i lauchned about 3000 again. went to about 85, the front of his car was at my front wheels. won this one.

i dont know about the ZX2, but i think the guy in the ZX3 runs mid 16's. should give me some idea what i would run. i think i was launching too high. my wheels were hopping through first gear. and i was just shifting at red line. dont know any good shift points yet. take it easy guys. lata

about 10,500miles, dont know what that is for you guys up north. what do you guys launch at, im thinking around 2 grand. but not sure.

Had one race so far against a 2000 Accord v-6 coupe.launched around 1800,i didn't realy start pulling on him till about 2rd gear.If my car was stock Iwould of lost,but the intake cam and the home made ram air and not haveing the warmup cat really woke the car up above3500rpm

Man, what a rush!!! Not one but two chllenges on the way home from school today. First was a chump in a piece of s*** Civic... from the sound of it, he had intake and exhaust mods. No challenge at all! I totally smoked his ass. The next guy up the road was in a Neon. I was a little intimidated by this guy cuz' I know waht Neon's are capable of, but I figured what the hell. Light turned green and he got the jump, but I pulled up even and was still in second when he was shifting into third... to early that is. Another one smoked!!! It's not enough that we drive damn good looking cars, but it's nice to know that we can perform pretty well too. /ubb/cool.gif

ive raced a few people recently. everyonewants to race since the car looks so fast. I got smoked by a 5 speed integra which had exauhst and an intake. also i was surprised i got beat by a z24 cavilier. that sucked!!! it was close though. i know they have 15ohp vs our 140hp. so far mine is stock beside the homemade cold air intake.

i haven't raced much, but i've beaten a bunch of civic's, an eclipse ('97), 2 accords ('94 and '97), and lost to a 2001 vette (1 of my friends) and a z28 camaro

I would just like to let everyone know I just got smoked by a cavilier. And it was not even a z24. Well he didnt smoke me it was more like a half car lenght. He sounded mean an hell and the tip on that b**** was at least 5 inches

Last night some guy in an old Celica (I mean late eighties or so, maybe early eighties) pulled up next to me and started revving at the stop light. I just looked over and smiled at him...

The lights hit green, I revved the engine, and he slammed on the gas! Vrooom! For an oldie like that, it went pretty fast...BUT...

I waved bye to him (hope he saw me), signalled, and then turned left LOL

I considered racing him, but then again, I didn't think it was worth it...if I lost to that old thing I would have been the laughing stock of the MP3 board, and if I won...what glory is there in beating a car half as old as me?

Story aside, yes, lots of ppl try to race with the MP3. A few nights ago an A4, trailed by an Integra GS caught up to me on the bridge and flew by at around 150 km/hr, cutting me off. I thought about it, then let them go. Don't think we can do an A4 1.8T if it's modded. Besides, theycut off like 6 people...those are the kinds that cause big wrecks...heck last week even an XTerra tried to race me on the same bridge! I was turning off the highway behind it, and the thing pushed so hard in the corner it was losing it and swerving all over! I thought it was gonna flip and squash my poor baby! All that, and I didn't do a thing to provoke whoever it was

Now my buddie's Si-R on the other hand, I race all the time...still can't keep up though...he'll be my benchmark for modding for now!

i dont have people revving on me. i get all the people on the freeway that try to race me after i pass them in a turn, or go around them.

I raced a P5 (with air intake and exhaust) I won by a car length. I've had an Audi, Protege, and another P5 try me...beat them all. The one car that I lost to was a Lexus IS...knew I would lose but what the hell right.

Got into one race with a honda accord Ex late at night on the backroads of I-43 all i saw on it was blue sidemarkers,blue lights and a loud a** exhaust,with euro tails, and blew the doors off that Accord Ex,"hell i was going about 120mph and he topped out at 110-or alittle more.

2 mustang's ,15 SI's, stopped counting accords and civic ex,lx,dx,hx a few se-r's a couple of type r's and 3 gsr's. so far so good I think.But not with out the help of a little blue bottle.

Mostly raced with Honda Civics and Accords... I don't know what the hell is up with these Honda dicks...they always seem like they have something to prove... s**** and they don't give up even after they get their ass beaten in... Just for the record this usually happens around 3 to 5 A.M. when the highways are pretty empty ... If you're gonna race, try to be careful because I wouldn't want to see any of my fellow MP3ers in any accidents... I'm saying this because just three days ago, four asian kids in my area got killed in a stupid race...
